My wife and I have just visited the sa 1 beefeater and although the main course of lasagne for my wife and the mushroom risotto for myself totally lacked any real flavour, the potato dippers were very nice! What made our visit a real treat was the young lady the served us, her name is Zoe and she was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble for her and she kept coming up with very witty lines! excellent!

After a 7 hour drive from Cornwall - I expected a better welcome from the Beafeater restaurant linked to the Premier Inn in Cross Hands Tewkesbury Road Cheltenham on my return journey this Easter bank holiday The waitress arrived at our table with a miserable face and one that she was not going to be very helpful...we had 3 very tired children and simply wanted a Smile and a nice word here or there - no more than you would expect... Instead we ended up with a battleaxe of a waitress - who only seemed to warm up once I had accidentally knocked over my wine while eating my starter! She was short - rude and very unhelpful with the meal ordering - abruptly stating that we could not have any adaptions to the menu that we were Requesting - without a scowl and a resentful comment here or there...just what we did not need!! We managed our meal as best as we could with all my 3 children asking what was wrong with the waitress!!! Not good service Good was adequate but waitress left a nasty taste in our mouth affecting the whole experience Surprisingly she gave me a bill to write a comment about our experience guiding me to her name and number - 5004 Philomen - however she seemed sooo keen to give me this - after such a bad service - that I feel she was trying to set up this Philomen to be given the sack - as I cannot believe that this was her number and name Quite extraordinary experience and one that would stop me ever staying at this Premier Travel Inn again and definitely not eat in this Beafeater again!!! Night mare!
