Conned as a first time buyer
The company representative gave me false advice. My intuition told me he was lying. When I verified it, I found out I was correct. He was misleading me to get a mortgage that would have left me stuck for the fixed 5 years (which was what he was pushing for). When I approached this matter with the company, they accepted blame but refused to compensate for it fully. In the end, I was left out of pocket and out of a house which was a really good deal. Advice: go with an independent mortgage adviser and not Evolve FS as they push for certain banks and products as they get a commission.
