Faulty door lock

I have a Ford Fusion 2011 and the inside lock on the drivers side has broken. I called the local Ford dealer and they told me that my serial number for my car is not on the recall list. I have been locked out of my car 2 times and had to call road side assistance. I am a single older woman that does not have anyone to help me. I was thinking of buying another ford in the near future, but have decided at this point that maybe not. How can you not fix all faulty materials no matter what serial number my car has. I will not buy another ford again.
