My husband and I had a great experience having furniture moved out of state with Fox!

I have never written a review about any company before. I am very disappointed in the service we got from Fox Moving and Storage of Brentwood, TN. They moved us a total of 4 times: 1. Moving furniture including a Yamaha baby grand piano into other rooms so that our hardwood floors could be refinished before putting our house up for sale. 2. Moving our furniture back onto the newly-refinished floors. 3. Moving and storing about half of our belongings that we did not need for staging the old house to our new house in Murfreesboro. 4. Moving all remaining furniture and belongings to our new house after our old house sold. The first set of movers tried to get us to hire them on the side outside of Fox Movers for some of our moves-- not very professional. Once we got all of our belongings out of their storage and our old house, we noticed that four out of the set of six 25 year old white bookcases were damaged: the bottoms, tops, and shelves all looked like they had been handled poorly and had had items stored on them that were much too heavy, without concern for their abuse. If we had known that they would be abused, just because it turned out that they were made of very sturdy "particle board," that we had moved before, and that were purchased completely assembled, we would have rented a truck and another couple of guys and moved them ourselves (which is ridiculous since we already were paying "movers.") Only 2 of those bookcases are going to be able to be kept and used. The day of the first move to Murfreesboro, I was at the old house before the moving van (a truck rented from another company) arrived at 11am. The 4 men who arrived on the truck came inside to see what had to be moved (which was everything the guys on the first move to Murfreesboro did not pack or move.) They were astounded that there was still a piano to be moved, and that there were still many things that had yet to be packed from closets and the basement. They proceeded to go back to their truck, and they sat in there 2 hours, during which time there was about a 30 minute rainstorm. After those 2 hours, they told me that they had not brought any packing materials, that they were not expecting to have to move the piano, and that they were afraid of the hill on the driveway that might be slick. I could not believe that they would not move someone just because it had rained. I called the Fox office and asked what was going on. The woman said she would check on it. After another 30 minutes, I was told that they did not have any packing materials and the the previous crew was supposed to have packed everything. I told her that in the 2 1/2 hours of waiting I had done, I could have gone to Home Depot, bought boxes and paper, and already had it all packed and loaded. I told the guys on the truck to just leave, and that I was going home and would get another company to move us. Not one single thing had been packed or touched. The supervisor on the truck called me a few minutes after they left, saying that he was sorry that there had been some sort of misunderstanding. A woman from the office, Brittany, who had given us our original estimates for our moves called my husband, at my request, and got him to agree that they could come on the following week to finish moving us, which they did. As they were leaving in their truck, they sideswiped our mailbox, which now has red paint on it, will hardly close, and will probably have to be replaced to meet the neighborhood HOA codes. Today as we were unpacking boxes of our china, I found a beautiful shell shaped serving tray that I loved broken into 3 pieces. It was wrapped in only 2 pieces of paper and evidently tossed into a large box of many other items. I looked online to replace it, finally found it on eBay because, of course, it has been discontinued for years, and purchased it (with "chips and dings" although mine had been in perfect condition before our move), fully expecting Fox to pay the $62.94 it will cost me to replace it. I am VERY disappointed with them in this move. They are very disorganized, and I feel that they had very little concern for my belongings or time.
