I booked 7 nights at the BlueBay Hotel in Lanzarote. On arrival the room I was allocated stank of drains. I checked out next day before 1200hrs as advised to do so by Travel Republic so as not to be charged for another day. When I got home I realised I had been charged £179.47 for this one stinky night at the BlueBay Hotel what a rip off. I complained and Travel Republic sent me back a letter from the Hotel saying I checked out because I did not like their Hotel well they got that right particularly my stinky room. Any how in the same letter back from the Hotel they actually berated me by saying we did not charge £179.47 and supplied the bill for Euro 101.00 for the night. I believe I should have been given the stinky room for free for ruining 1 day of my holiday but at worst my charge should have been on the only thing the Hotel and I agree about that is they charge 101.00 Euros so come on Travel Republic where at least is the difference in what you charged me and what the hotel charged you. Its not rocket science but you have to be at least interested or be bothered to read your own correspondence. Here is an extract of the letter from the Hotel that Travel Republic sent me ....maybe they should read it * The customer admits to having received a partial refund of his stay at this hotel and says he was charged 179.47 pounds for one night, when he was actually charged a total of 101.32 €. Attach the invoice.
