Review about Flash Wear
Absolutely SHOCKING quality & customer service. The week before Halloween - I purchased 4 flash wear light up masks - and paid for next day delivery. The masks did indeed come the next day (the only good thing about this sale/ purchase) - however I was so disappointed when I opened the parcel to find that only 3 out of 4 purchased masks had been sent/ dispatched. These masks were not only all paid for, but obviously purchased for Halloween/ a group effort/ fancy dress - so there was no time to purchase another or attempt to rectify. I was then utterly furious to discover on the day of wearing after going out to purchase batteries for the masks (they do not come with)... That not only had one mask not been packed/ shipped - only 2 out of the 3 that were sent actually worked!!!! Which meant that 2 out of 4 people didn't have the main part of their costume. I have also come into work today to find out that a colleague (whom I had recommended the website to), had quality issues with the mask he had purchased. So clearly there are some severe quality issues here with the product, which is really disappointing because at the end of the day they are £20 masks, and not some £2.99 tat bought from a bargain shop. Luckily the other people I had bought the masks for were very understanding but given it was I who picked the website and took other people's money to purchase these masks, I felt bad that people had put so much effort in for Halloween costumes they couldn't finish or enjoy (when they had already paid for them). It meant that the two masks that DID by some miracle work, were not worn because it would have looked stupid if only 2/4 were wearing them - so we had to go out and spend additional money getting neon and white paints so we all looked the same/ the costumes made sense. I then sent an email explaining all f the above to Flash wear, I waited over a week and a half for a response, only to be met with the very very disappointing response that they were only going to refund for the 1 mask they didn't send, (not even the faulty mask that WAS sent), regardless to the massive inconvenience caused the sheer lack of customer service given after the fact. SO disappointed will 100% not use again.
