I bought a $8,000 Cartier Tank Jan 2017, I've adjusted it 3 times due to inaccurate time. After one repair, one morning I wanted to wear to work and found it 18 minutes faster. The movement calibre 157 has an allowable tolerance of -0.1 + 0.4 seconds per day, meaning over a certain period, the time showing on the watch can be an accumulation of this variance, whether ahead or behind the actual time.
