October 2022: Contacted sneed4speed.com for a replacement engine for a Mini Cooper. Prior to ordering, they were very helpful. My order came to just over $11K. The engine was to be shipped within two months of the purchase. After about three weeks I got curious about the progress and tried to contact them. Every phone number they had went straight to an answering machine. Even the phone number that one of their techs had given me to get "quick text responses" went nowhere. One line goes to a voicemail telling you to text the line or to email sales. Over the course of those two months, I called every number dozens of times, sent about a hundred texts and emailed two different emails they had originally gave me ten times. Just before Christmas, I got tired of playing this one sided game and sent one last copied text and email to every point of contact I had with them stating that if I did not hear from them in a week, I would dispute the charge through my credit card and they would not be paid. Even then, nobody responded. Being tied up with the holidays, it was actually two weeks later that I disputed the charge and had my bank get my money back. I don't know if they are a scam or just severely incompetent but Sneed4Speed is bad news. Their website is "under maintenance" as of today and hopefully it will stay that way. I should have taken the advice that others had given about this place. I've been without a car for two months waiting on this company and now I have to start all over again with another engine builder.

***Do not purchase anything from Sneed 4 speed!*** I purchased an N18 engine for $9,100. The engine is messed up. When the mechanic pours coolant into the expansion tank it goes directly into the oil pan. My mechanic made sure everything is hooked up correctly and still getting into the oil pan. I have tried contacting them for 3 days now. Calls go straight to voice-mail and my numerous emails are going on answered. I feel I am out of $9,100 which freaking sucks. I saved that up while on deployment overseas just for it to get stolen by this company. I feel like ***** now. Please please do not go through what I am going through. Stay away from them!!!

I placed an order about a month ago , received a partial shipment of my order for a full forged rebuild kit and received pistons and a timing chain , finally after not getting the rest of my stuff I sent the stuff back and canceled the order , they’ve never confirmed my cancelation and still haven’t received my refund . I spent 3 grand and will have to make payments and dispute the charge .

Very poor communication both with email and phone. Ordered in November and still waiting for connecting rods. Finally got an answer and they said that they were having problems sourcing them because of covid. Would have been nice for them to explain that in the beginning. Thank ***** I paid with CC so I could dispute the transaction. I will never do business with them again!!!
