Review about Four Day Ray Brewing
I don’t recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are a Hispanic. Last Friday June 2, my husband and I thought it would be fun to have dinner at Four Day Ray Brewery and sit outside on the patio to enjoy the wonderful weather. Unfortunately, we were sadly mistaken in our assumption. When we arrived about 4:30 pm, we were pleased to note that there were 4 or 5 tables available on the patio. We were greeted by the hostess, a short young woman with long blond hair (sorry I don’t have her name). We requested a table outside and were informed right away, that there weren’t tables available at the time. We mentioned that we could see at least four tables available. The young lady said that those tables were reserved and seating on the patio was not an option at that time (not even an apology). The hostess sent us to a table inside the restaurant that obstructed our view of the patio. Something just didn’t feel right and my husband and I decided to leave without ordering. I was suspicious that our South American accent was off-putting to the hostess. A few minutes later my husband called the restaurant requesting a reservation on the patio. The woman who answered the phone told him: “We don’t take reservations on Fridays, and if you want to seat at the patio you don’t need a reservation at all, it’s on a first-come, first-served basis.” Dumbfounded, my husband told the woman that “if that was the case, why was it that my wife and I were just in the restaurant and we were told that the outside tables were reserved? “ There was a pause on the line and after a little bit of hesitation, the explanation my husband received was this: “Those tables are reserved for the owners.” This place would be well served in training their staff to treat everyone with respect not matter how they look like or how they sound. We are all human beings and the fact that my husband and I have an accent don’t make us stupid or inferior.
