Bangkok is a wonderful place, but it can be a little overwhelming if you've never been to Asia before. Thankfully, I had the pleasure of staying at the Centre Point Hotel in Chidlom on my first trip, and the staff made me feel right at home. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is comfortable and luxurious, but still close enough to all the tourist attraction so that you can get a real taste of Thai culture.
