Review about DIY
Nice cheap product at £15 which in the last week has risen to £28. The holes are not deep enough in some places for the screws to sink into. The Allan key you are give with these screws is useless after a few screws have been applied (one shelf) I purchased two of these shelf units which did turn up on time on the day required. But as said the Allan key is useless and I had eleven screws missing out of sixteen where I had to contact the company to have a reacement shelving unit sent out. I did ask for the screws only but they said a new shelving unit would have to be sent. Aerangements were made for next day delivery for 2pm. However the delivery driver decided to knock my door on Sunday morning at 07.30. I was not up for this and found a card put through my door. I then rang this company again and they opologise for the wrong time of delivery being done. A unit was then arranged for Monday afternoon which I was then informed it be anytime from 09.00 to 18.00 hrs. I stayed in all day for the delivery which was really inconvenient. Eventually at about 16.00 item arrived. In the meantime I've got one shelf put together on the shelving unit and the other littering my floor. The delivery driver did not take the other shelving unit back. B&Q told me to keep it which is fair I guess after all the inconvenience. So now I've got a full shelving unit replacement and one unit spare minus screws. In all I put this whole affair down to bad workmanship of the product and no proper care taken when the item is in transit or loaded onto the delivery van from company staff from the warehouse where item is stored. My advice would be to purchase your own Allan keys for putting this item together and when the delivery of this product does arrive at your address, then check the packaging to make sure you have 16 screws for the product within the packaging as you can not get the screws sent out to you on their own from this company. You will have to accept a complete new shelving unit.
