Review about Gravel Master
Ordered 2 pallets with one ton of pebbles each on 9 June 21 for delivery on Friday 18 June 21. Needless to say, that there was neither a delivery nor any notification to that effect from Gravelmaster. They obviously assume that during Covid 19 we are now all sitting at home anyway with nothing better to do than to wait for their delivery. I then followed it up with the delivery company and found out that only 1 pallet / 1 ton of pebbles was 'in transit' and that they intended to drop this off outside our house in the 'next few days'. Again no communication regarding the intended partial delivery from Gravelmaster. When I finally managed to get in through to 'Danny' at Gravelmaster I was informed that they had run out of stock and that there was no reliable date for the new stock - 'could be back in 1 to 2 weeks, but that is not guaranteed'. I then requested that the order to be cancelled and a full refund to be issued. Gravelmaster declined that on the grounds that they were within their rights to fulfil any order over as many partial deliveries as they saw fit (which btw is not backed up by the Gravelmaster T&Cs). They obviously think that is OK to wait for an unspecified number of days for half of the ordered goods, then get your guys in to work with only have of what is needed for your garden project, then wait for an unspecified number of weeks for the rest of your goods and if you finally get it then pay your guys again for finishing the job. - Really?? I cancelled the order this morning and will be charged a £50 penalty for this 'privilege'. My conclusions: If you like being messed about like this or in a similar way then Gravelmaster is right for you, as their prices and range of products look good on their website. If you however have basic expectations regarding communication, quality and reliability of service then I strongly suggest to look somewhere else.
