I had bought a hotel room with car parking whilst I was on holiday. I couldn't check reviews on this Cambridge Hotel, as I had taken a " mystery package) I guess it's not sensible to do that, as later, when I arrived home & could check reviews, it became apparent that this hotel has a reputation for being careless with the cars , in their care! I arrived to pick up my car, after telephoning the hotel to let them know that I was on my way. I was handed my car keys , however, when I found my car it was totally blocked in! So back again to reception, to get them to move the car infront. Whilst waiting in the very hot sun, I wanted to load my luggage- unfortunately the cars were parked so closely, that I couldn't load. That led me to check around my car once I could see it properly....unfortunately I discovered that my car had been damaged! My offside corner of the bumper had been scuffed & the blue paint chips were in the bodywork of my car. I wanted to see the Manager, but he was unavailable ( on holiday) Eventually a man appeared & spat on his hand to wipe off the marks( which he couldn't) He said " there you are darling, it's not THAT serious serious!" I was affronted & told him not to patronise me! He said I was a troublemaker & that I should leave. I told him that I would make a poor report on his car care service! This hotel doesn't seem to care about the cars in their car, as after further research, I have discovered that this problem has been reviewed on many times! So, if you value your car , don't leave it with the Cambridge Hotel at Gatwick
