Review about Gravel Master
Never again: Everest Blue looks like old charcoal Don’t expect too much from this company either in quality of aggregate delivered or their customer service. I took a chance and, believing the photo on their website, ordered a bag of Everest Blue which they promised would ‘brighten’ my garden. I expected a reasonable blend of light, dark and mid grey stones. My expectation turned to horror when I received a dodgy batch. After washing the stones, they came up darker as there is very little white stone in the bag. It looked like someone’s old charcoal from a BBQ the night before. Not decorative and certainly didn’t brighten up my garden. In fact, in places , it looked rather like the sub base that my gardeners had used under the patio. In addition, there was a lot of grit in its composition - not expected in 20mm stone. A quick ring to Customer Service to check it was the right delivery should have put it right but after a wasted morning waiting on hold, I gave up. I contacted them by email and they directed me to a non-existent Live Chat on their website. I felt fobbed off and disrespected as a customer. While I was waiting on hold, I finally read Trustpilot reviews and found out that many customers wait up to half a day for a response to their call. In addition, other reviewers said that their order was, like mine, different to the photo and when they complained with actual photos in situ, customer service disregarded them. I experienced the same. My order fell way below any reasonable expectation and to send it back would have cost me £50 so it was easier to keep it. I am so glad that I only ordered a single bag so I ended up using it as a sub base as it was too embarrassing to lay on top. I have ordered stone from another supplier and hopefully others will learn their lesson secondhand by reading reviews first.
