I thought I was booking with a local company - Pangbourne Taxis - but clearly not. Taxicode take your booking and take your money up front so you think you have a taxi booked. If they can’t then outsource the job or find a driver, they cancel your booking at the last minute leaving you in a difficult situation. My booking was cancelled at 5.30pm on Friday night via an email which I didn’t pick up as as we were already out. I had paid extra for sms communication but no text was received telling me the booking had been cancelled. As a result, I was left stranded at a rural restaurant with my husband and 3 children as we had been drinking. Luckily a family friend came and picked us up but I don’t know what I would have done otherwise. The company had the audacity to offer me a discount code of my next booking! Do not book!
