Long story short booked Taxicode from Glasgow to North West Scotland as travelling with 3 kids. On the notes (as explained on the website) i outlined baby and toddler car seats required. Day before travel it was assigned to a company in Glasgow who advised when i asked about the seats, they cant provide. I had no choice then to cancel and find an alternative. Taxicode refund 10percent ( £30). I emailed them ensuring they could deliver the seats, no response, then followed up the mail, to which they advised the assigned company will accommodate our request. The company was assigned the day before we were due to travel. Why can something be done? This deceitful company shouldn't get away with it. Id rather give money to people who have nothing or even light it on fire than give it to these crooks. What are my options? Write off?

Avoid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This company outsources drivers from other companies. So you are paying 20% more but the probability that service would be bad is the same as just picking a random minicab online. I booked a transfer 4 days in advance, received email with confirmation and driver’s details on the same day, great! The night I landed I switched my phone on to find several email from several unknown taxi companies with booking confirmations and cancellation. Also received several messages from drivers… very confusing. Finally I received a message from a driver asking me to call him when the luggage is collected saying he’s waiting for me. Although it looks extremely unprofessional to give my contact details to several taxi companies and not even bother to send an email saying your booking has had some issues, but at least I felt relieved, I have a driver. Little did I know :) I call the driver as promised when luggage was collected, he told me to go to row E of parking 2, where I spent 15 minutes waiting for him at 2.30 am in Luton. But ok, whatever, I just want to get to a cab and sleep now, so he comes, I get in and he asks me to give him £5 in cash for parking (just fyi I’ve paid £91 to taxicode online for all inclusive service). So I explain to the gentleman that when I entered into a contract with taxicode for its services, there was no mention of extra charges (no mention of third parties being involved either) so I believe it will be only fair if 2 companies sort it out between themselves. I also mentioned to the driver that he made me wait 15 minutes, which for a pre-booked service it’s a bit too much and he should be ashamed asking me for parking charges on top of that. He got really angry and tells me he’ll leave me in the middle of the Highway where we were by then at 3 am. So to cut long story short I had to call the manager of the company this driver belonged to, obviously there was no support from taxicode in this hour. I can confidently say it was by far the worst experience I have had with a pre-booked taxi service and I’ll stick back to the good old Uber, it’s cheaper, they don’t ask for extra money and they arrive quicker. I thought I was booking with a local company - Pangbourne Taxis - but clearly not. Taxicode take your booking and take your money up front so you think you have a taxi booked. If they can’t then outsource the job or find a driver, they cancel your booking at the last minute leaving you in a difficult situation. My booking was cancelled at 5.30pm on Friday night via an email which I didn’t pick up as as we were already out. I had paid extra for sms communication but no text was received telling me the booking had been cancelled. As a result, I was left stranded at a rural restaurant with my husband and 3 children as we had been drinking. Luckily a family friend came and picked us up but I don’t know what I would have done otherwise. The company had the audacity to offer me a discount code of my next booking! Do not book!

This company is so bad, As a partner if you have a problem and call them all they say is they are customer service and they cannot help you but they will get someone to call you back. and never call back. If you ask to speak to or Email a request to speak to your account manager they do not call you back. They take payment from your account then claim they have not and when you provide prove they still do nothing about it. If you request a statement of your account they cannot or will not give this to you. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS BOTH BY PARTNERS AND CUSTOMERS

I booked via Taxicode a journey yesterday from the airport back to London due to the railstrike. I receive a call a few hours before the scheduled trip and was informed that they have to upgrade the car due to the luggage, which was entered in the booking process and on which basis the booking took place. On top of the £100, they wanted to have additional £30. When I wanted to cancel, the caller declared that there wouldn't be a refund. I decided to go along with this blackmail due to the circumstances. The pick-up, the journey was fine, but due to the scam practise I can only recommend to avoid Taxicode.

TaxiCode is NOT a taxi company but hust a website that works with partners. The partners are the actual taxi companies, usually very small ones or just one man band. Refund on TaxiCode? You're dreaming. They have a sole purpose, to charge the customer and the taxi company...and nothing else matters. Stay away.

DO NOT USE TAXICODE.COM. Tried to cancel the reservation but if you read the fine print with each day closer to the actual pick up you loose most of your fare charge. Cancelled pick up and was still charged full fare. SCAM

The driver was 5 star, on time and helpful. After booking the car online Abdullah Shah called from TaxiCode and stated we needed a bigger car. He wanted us to pay £57 more ontop of the £130 we already pre-paid. We stated we didnt need a bigger car as the website stated 6 people and 4 bags. He stated we still needed a bigger car, we declined to pay more. I then asked if i could just cancel the booking due to his attitude and poor service. He stated we could but would loose our £130 we already paid. I requested they send the original car we booked for 6 people and 4 suitcases. He then proceeded to state that the car will leave us if we cannot all fit in the car and loose our money. The car we originally booked arrived on time, we all fit, and our bags WITH ROOM TO SPARE. His poor upsell skills to make more money and rudeness borderline threatening. Will not use this service again and i highly recommend using OTHER companies in the future.

Taxicode appears to be earning a lot thru their deceptive cancellation channel. Unlike other companies that would give a cooling off period after booking. Taxicode starts that countdown as soon as you'd confirmed! If you can't afford to be robbed of your hard earned money, DO NOT use Taxicode!!! If you did get ripped off by Taxicode, past or recent; you must REPORT them to Trading Standard and/or the Fraud Office.

I booked 2 minibuses to take us to and from a busy 2 day music festival and I paid up front - a total of over £400. After booking I realised this company is a taxi broker. I had thought I was dealing with a local taxi company so on realising I wasn't and having only had a confirmation that I had made payment and that they were trying to secure my booking (and that probably there was a chance in ***** that they would be able to), I decided to cancel. As it was a full month before the date of travel I expected a full refund but their terms and conditions are that you only get a 55% refund (and the closer to the date of travel the less it gets). So I lost over £200 to these ***** who did absolutely nothing for that money. And if you think that if you only pay a deposit you'll be OK, think again because they will charge your credit card for the difference. Learnt my lesson - always read the T&Cs re cancellation policies!

Do not use this site. They are a set of thieves. I canceled a booking within minutes of booking it when I realised the extortionate price I had been charged. (About £50 more than the usual cost of the relevant journey). My account showed the booking an d there was an option to cancel. So minutes after booking I cancelled the booking (which was over a week away so no one had incurred any expense or loss as a result of the booking) I subsequently received a 10% refund. When I looked at the pages of Ts and Cs on the website I saw the cancellation terms are buried in there. Something on the account page next to the link that ‘invites’/makes cancellation possible, directing customers to the cancellation terms would have been nice. Incidentally when reading the Ts and Cs I noticed that (even though you have to pay an extortionate amount up front) they don’t guarantee your taxi will turn up, so in effect I’ve been made to pay £80 for a taxi I cancelled minutes after I booked it, which they had no obligation to provide anyway, if I hadn’t cancelled it!!

A despicable company. Must stop operating! I booked an 8 seater minibus for transport to Heathrow. The booking was confirmed and the payment was made. I received a confirmation email. I woke up on the morning of my flight to find a cancellation email sent 3am on the same day, and the pick up was supposed to be 8 am. What a shock ! I called them, with no answer. I left a message, no one got back to me. I tried other providers but obviously no one available at such a short notice. I had to put all the luggage and my family in my small car and drive to Heathrow on a 4 hours journey. This was quite unsafe as the luggage occupied most of the car cabin space. I also had to pay extra money for the car parking as I had no time to organise a cheaper one. Bottom line: UNRELIABLE - DISRESPECTFULL - INEFFICIENT

A total scam. Please see the email I sent to them Good afternoon The waiting time is free for the first 60 minutes!!! This is specified in the email confirmation you sent. In addition, I have called your customer service and sent 2 emails at 3.30pm Bst time to inform about the delay. Given the increasing delay, I have asked to change the pick up time at 7.45pm. Your customer support confirmed that this change has been made and that the driver has been informed (however the driver told me this did not happen before the 6pm uk time!!!!!!). Last but not least, your customer service confirmed that the driver was monitoring the flight to make it sure he arrived at the proper time. In addition, the driver asked me to pay for the parking. In your confirmation email, it does not specify that I am liable to pay for it.

Absolute scam. I have booked at taxi from £83. I called them twice and they confirm it is there. then 5 mns after the 2nd conversation, they send me an cancellation email, followed by an other email asking whether I want to rebook, with NO MENTION of change of price. the next email is then a confirmation of taxi with the price of £260.70!! I call them and ask to reapply the price I approved and they refused. They took my money and I am now in a dispute process with Taxicode through the bank. This is for sure illegal to take money without showing the price beforehand. Daylight robery. Avoid at all cost!!

I ordered and paid a taxi to take me from London to Standsted airport, 48 hours before the flight. Did not receive confirmation so I contacted them by email. Drive is cancelled a few gours later by email, which arrived in the middle of the night, 4 hours before I had to leave for the airport. Will never use again.

From reading reviews I realized I got scammed. I made a typographical mistake on my pick up date and there was no support available to either amend and re-schedume or totally cancel my booking and rebook with the correct date. Ive tried calling the phone lines, no-one was picking up and they replied to my emails one day later saying they will not refund my 100 euro paid because it is in their cancellation policy even if the faulty booking was still not confirmed on their site! Found out later that they are a SCAM business and that most of their positive reviews are fake, while the negative ones are from people whose drivers never showed up or the company not accepting cancellations. People beware. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.

After Booking and paying full money,i got email,that No driver assigned and Journey not confirmed,it took me 10days to get email confirmation after several call,Driver number i just received on the day of journey,how scary it was,and it was 4.5hrs journey with uncertaininty,the moment i paid,i realised i fall in trap.driver was 2hrs late,very Robotic,i have not MPV,3luggage was booked,i could take only 1luggae and 2small hand bag ,and it was a Saloon Prius,with No AC working,Car condition was too bad,it was bad for my kids,they suffered,and journey finished at 6hrs.Driver did not helped for 1second to hold luggage,Terrible taxi service ,i will remember in life time,My suggestion,NEVER EVER BOOK TAXI CODE,IT WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE HELL,THE MOMENT YOU PAID THEM.so in summary- i have got Lots of headache and uncertainity, Driver 2hrs late ,No AC in car,bad condition Small saloon car instead of MPV 5seater which i had booked for 3luggage and Unfriendly Driver and very difficult or impossible to reach Driver

If I could give 0 stars I would! Booked taxi while in York, quote was £22.50. As we are not from area we were unaware of average cost. They cancelled booking 10 minutes before the taxi was due. They deducted the £22.50 from my bank 1 week later and it has still not been refunded 3 weeks later. To make it worse when we called a taxi company the cost for the trip was under £12. They are ripping people off, charging double, taking payment for a service they cancelled and no contact number to phone and complain. I am waiting for a reply to an email and if not refunded will be putting a complaint to trading standards. Do not use this company, call a local taxi company.

The worst experience ever - AVOID at any cost!!! Coming back to the UK and having orderd a Heathrow pick-up, I requested the driver to meet me 40 minutes after the flight has landed. The company offered an extra 15 minutes of waiting time and "meet and greet". 2 minutes after landing my driver was texting me that he`ll pick me up at the departures area. I told him I had luggage to collect but he kept calling me every 10 minutes, more and more annoyed. We had issues with the airline as my daughter`s car seat got lost. The driver, however, kept calling me, more and more frustrated because he had to wait, and because he got fined by the police for being at the dpeartures drop-off area. (No one asked him to be there.) When finally we managed to get out, 50 minutes after my flight has landed, he demanded that we make our way up to the departures area. NO meet and greet, just me with several pieces of luggage and a buggy. Once i managed to make my way upstairs i got dragged into an argument between the driver and the police and we didn`t get to go until i broke down crying. Then on completion of our journey, he demanded an extra £10 for the extra time he had to wait (if only he actually arrived at the time I ordered the cab for...) Then when i contacted Taxicode`s customer service, I was treated in the most unprofessional manner. Next time you need a ride, guys, go through a company you can trust - this is not one I can assure you!!!

Absolutely appalling service. Booked a taxi for 22nd December to return from a funeral, company emailed to cancel on the day with very little notice so I had to try and organise an alternative whilst there. Took payment upfront and am still waiting for a refund nearly a month later. Ignores all messages and calls, will be claiming via a charge back as they refuse to respond. A shame no stars is not an option but please beware before booking and do not use this company!!!!!

I downloaded their App and made two different bookings, for just under £200 in total. The money was taken immediately from my Credit Card, and both were followed a day later by two cancellations, promising refunds within 5 to 7 working days. Nothing was returned, so called them, to be promised the refund within another 5 to 7 working days....still waiting

Booking cancelled on same day leaving us in 30 degree heat with a one year old baby. Automatic refund still oustanding ten days later. Nobody replies to emails or piucks up the phone. This is a scam.

It looks like these fraudsters are involved with credit card fraud. I had an unauthorised transaction with them against my credit card followed by attempted transactions to buy an iPhone and other goods. This resulted in my card having to be stopped and all the inconvenience that entails. I shall be involving the fraud office against them.

company provided me with no service whatsoever, apart from really upsetting and depressing me. Of course this company will have good reviews simply because people book their taxis and don't have to amend or cancel the booking and every is fine, but believe me if you do have to do this any of this, prepare to be very disappointed with their service. On the 15/03/20 went on a comparison website called "TAXI PRICE COMPARE" and of course I'm thinking it's a website just like other comparison websites Go Com..., Compare the M..... etc, "BUT" unlike those other websites that just compare prices and take you to the merchant to deal with directly Taxi Price Compare leads you to book through them. The first "SUSPECT" thing they "TRY ON" after inputting some details a pop up screen appears saying "IT LOOKS A LITTLE TIGHT" and tries to get you to upgrade even though you have already input exactly what's was required for the journey before that point?. Another "SUSPECT" thing is that there is an option for SMS confirmation "PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS AS IT IS TICKED ON BY DEFAULT " I was then directed to pay so I used PP at "21:13. I then got an email from Taxi Price Compare stating that the driver had been assigned, after I got a phone call from the assigned taxi company asking about the booking, at that point I realized the post code on collection was incorrect, but he told me "THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO TO AMEND THE BOOKING" and gave me an email to contact. Interestingly this email for communicating with them was the same email used by Taxi Price Compare in my recent PP case and the same email that took Taxi Price Compare just under 6 days to reply to regarding my recent PP dispute. I needed a fast response to the issue as my flight was in the morning. I didn't want o call any numbers because I'm on roaming and the Isle of Man mobile operators are not part of the UK networks. On the confirmation email there was a "USERS DASHBOARD" option this took me to another website this was "TAXICODE". I just wanted to "AMEND" my booking and here it gave me two options one was "REBOOK JOURNEY" and "CANCEL BOOKING" so of course I first tried to rebook journey, but it only let me change to time not the post code, so I just canceled the booking at "21:35" and thought It would just be easier to do that and start again like any normal person would do. Now at this point what I didn't realize was this company has absolutely appallingly shocking T&C's. After what happened I was actually scared to go back on their website just in case I was somehow charged or billed again, but in the end I did as i needed to read their T&C's in detail. If you cancel your booking more than "30 DAYS" prior to the Journey date in your booking, you will be entitled to a refund equivalent of "ONLY 55%" of the value of your booking. If you cancel your booking between "11 DAYS TO 30 DAYS" prior to the Journey date in your Booking, you will be entitled to a refund equivalent to "ONLY 25%" of the value of your booking. If you cancel your booking between "2 DAYS TO 10 DAYS" prior to the Journey date in your Booking, you will be entitled to a refund equivalent to "ONLY 10%" of the value of your booking. If you cancel your booking on "THE SAME DAY OR THE DAY BEFORE" to the Journey date in your Booking, "YOU WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO ANY REFUND". You see it's all at their discretion, a cancellation charge "MAY" be refunded on the basis that "YOU REBOOK IN 24 HOURS" and note that's also a whopping "£15 ADMINISTRATION CHARGE INVOLVED". Only once the Journey is rebooked, the refund can be processed. "HOWEVER", Taxi Price Compare reserves the right to refuse a cancellation refund at any time. Does any of the above sound fair or reasonable!. Personally I don't think so and I would not recommend :(

Your review I booked a transfer with Taxicode for what was going to be my “dream vacation”. I booked and fully paid in advance Approx. 90 days in advance. This was going to be my first vacation abroad and I was really excited and wanted everything in order and to run smoothly. However, as the day neared, the Covid-19 epidemic ruined my plans and my flight was cancelled. I contacted taxicode (STILL 60 days Before my scheduled transfer) with this extremely unprecedented situation to request a full refund ... and was repeatedly referred to section 7 of their policy indicating I was only entitled to 55%. To be CLEAR... This company provided No service AT ALL and was notified 60 days in advance of my transfer that it was no longer needed DUE to a GLOBAL pandemic (flight canceled/countrywide travel ban). This company used a standard policy in an extraordinary time. They are true leeches during a global pandemic. Shame on them!!☹️

Shocking, do not use this service, book direct with taxi drivers. I unfortunately never got to use their drivers due to the cancellation of our flights in lieu of the Corona Virus outbreak. I'm sure, looking at the reviews, the driver and service would have been spot on. My issue, however, is with the main company. Their service and culture when it comes to handling issues is shocking. On being forced to cancel the booking 3 weeks prior, Taxicode has kept 75% of the fee! For our booking that's £100. I'm gobsmacked as at this point there is no service used and therefore no loss to them! The company's position is to spout standard terms and conditions about drivers losing out having been pre-booked and not being able to replace work. This I actually understand and agree with in principle; but not to be able to replace work within 3 weeks (especially when they operate a transfer service to and from airports) is stretching plausibility a bit far in my opinion. If they are not getting work in those time scales then do they have a viable business? The company expects clients like you and I to utilise European Passenger Rights Regulation EC 261/04 to get refunds from the flight carrier. Firstly this is just a blatant shift of responsibility and secondly it smacks of making it hard as possible for genuine clients to recoup lost funds under extraordinary circumstances. The customer service team at Taxicode are attentive to the point of quick communication. Unfortunately, their ability to reason, take a personal view and simply regurgitate standard terms to fob you off is just down right poor. I find this company unreasonable and quite simply, greedy! Beware!!! I will be interested to see their response, will it be their standard terms and conditions I wonder?!?!?!?

I cancelled my booking 24 hours before the actual departing time. But, was refused the refund by Taxicode. I thought that I booked a cab to Heathrow airport as I planned, but, according to the said company, my booking was not the day that I needed. Anyway, there was a confirmation of refunding my payment £38.50 through SNS. But, later, had a phone call (03337729737) during my travelling to the airport, saying that they do not refund any money because I made a booking mistakenly by myself. I do not think that it was a fair treatment by them. I don’t know why over 2000 people give this company 5 stars reputations???

Booked and paid for taxi to the airport the day before travel. Booked for 0630 next day and received an email confirmation. Then received an email at 0410 while asleep, awoke to find my taxi cancelled with no replacement. when I contacted them that morning was given no alternative and differing stories as to why taxi had been cancelled. Pretty sure no taxi had been booked in the first place as they would not give me any information regarding the supposed taxi firm on the confirmation. Refund offered and also £5 off next booking, don't think I will use that discount!!!

Do not use this company. They are terrible. I cancelled a taxi over 12 hours before the journey and yet they refused to give me a refund. All other taxi services offer a refund. This is tantamount to fraud. Use them at your peril

Do you want a RELIABLE taxi service that will get you to the airport for that EXPENSIVE flight, drop you off for your IMPORTANT meeting? Do you want hassle-free service, plenty of notice that your ride has been confirmed? If they can't make a booking for you, do you expect them to tell you in plenty of time for you to make other arrangements? Well, if all -- or ANY -- of those considerations are important to you - DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT BOOK Taxicode!!!! Once they've got hold of your money they'll hang on to it whether they can provide you with a ride or not. Their customer relations are appalling. They promise to give 24 hours notice of confirmation or failure to find a suitable service fo you. I PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN ADVANCE for my wife's flight to Shanghai. The 24 hour deadline passed... without any word from them. I made numerous, increasingly tense calls. They refused to cancel the booking. My wife was getting frantic. At 10.00 pm, the night before the booking time of 07.15, they gave us an Uber link... At 06.45 my wife called the link; at 07.15 there was a reply, 'No Uber service available at this time.' I called a local taxi service -- they arrived 15 minutes later... My wife made it to her flight. Why didn't I book a local taxi in the first place? Beats me... I must have been taken in by the Taxicode promise of good service at a low price. Silly me -- the local taxi company provided a clean, comfortable car for £7.50 CHEAPER than Taxicode!!! I made this a 1 star review because the system won't accept MINUS TEN STARS! They offered all sorts of reasons they should not reimburse my payment -- I had been a 'difficult customer' etc. Well, wouldn't you be when you wanted to go to bed to be up early for a flight and you had been pestering them all day?? There was NO CONSIDERATION of our feelings or the stress they had caused us. After A LOT of hassle they reimbursed me -- but only because i promised a County Court case if they didn't... I would have done that, too! Do yourself a favour -- call a local taxi company, not an agent. Oh, and, if they publish an answer to explain this awful service, ignore it -- it will be more lies. Have you seen the BAD reviews? Look carefully at the GOOD reviews. Aren't they all formulaic, obviously FAKE reviews they've written themselves? Of course they will deny this, but then, they would, wouldn't they?

I pressed the link to call the cab and then the app told me my cab had arrived. Then we went outside and waited. The driver rang me to say he was outside the venue and I told him to come to the regents building which is just behind the main building. He said yes ok I will find you. He then cancelled the booking and I can only assume he picked up another fair and set his phone to not available because every time I rang it, it went to unavailable. We waited in the rain for a while longer in shock but in the end rang a local taxi firm to book another car. As it was busy it took over an hour for this car to come and we had a baby sitter waiting at home. Then to make matters worse you charged me £26.50 for this. terrible customer service! also the feedback on trust pilot is taken straight after you have made your booking so i doubt you can take them with any seriousness. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Cancellation policy is a complete joke. Cancelled my booking a week before and they issued refund only for 10% from total cost. Should have read reviews about this company. Many people complained about this. Well never use this service.

Booked a return journey for £393 in total, had to cancel the second leg having paid upfront. Spoke with cab company and they had payment for 2nd leg deducted back from their account, however that was not passed back to me. On closer inspection there is no address on their website, their phone support claims to be in Amsterdam but just as likely to be anywhere. Best avoided.

First time I booked was great, all went through fine and I had no worries. Second time I booked, I was given the run around by Taxicode - my review is about Taxicode ONLY - this only takes into consideration what Taxicode did. I booked with Taxicode and paid £66 for a 7 mile trip in the middle of nowhere after a wedding. Taxicode assigned a cab company to pick up the 8 people in a mini bus and drop them at 3 different locations. This was showing as unconfirmed by the provider for days. So I called the cab company to check all was okay with the 3 different drops, they then told me they had no record of my booking, they do not work with Taxicode and don't even cover the area that I had booked it for!! I contacted Taxicode who said 'no worries, all fine we will get another company to book! I guarentee you will get a taxi'' - I checked all the potential cab companies that were on the taxicode list and none of them were able to take my booking. When I told Taxicode this, they said it would all be fine and my booking would be confirmed 6 hours before my booking was due. 6 hours... really? I asked if I could cancel, to which they told me that I would only receive back 10% of my payment. At this point my stress levels hit the roof and I was contacting Taxicode on their help page nearly every hour. Everytime they replied, it would mark my ticket as resolved - which it never was. Eventually I got through to someone on the phone after being on hold for over 10 mins! I complained that nothing had been done and no one was telling me what was happening, I must of got them on a good day because the guy said he would fully refund me on the grounds that I was stressed! Thank ***** they did as I had to ring round several different places before I could find a taxi company to take my booking. I know the response that Taxicode will make to this review - no record of my booking (Booking MB435D5B03AE2) - please review the cab company and not taxicode etc. - my review is about Taxicode NOT the cab companies. I will never ever use this company again.

Criminal service, unintelligible english speakers in Birmingham office, web site impossible to use, no customer service and I lost £50 when the system defaulted to a time for the taxi, 1 minute before the payment was taken. I called immediately using their ;contact us' number when I realised the error and they were unintelligible on the phone and 'stole' my money. Dreadful service that should be avoided at all costs.

Robertson 1 review This is the worst taxi online booking system I have ever experienced. I am the travel coordinator for a big company and we book £1000's of airport transfers every month. I decided to try out Taxicode so I booked online at 12:36 for an airport transfer from Sevenoaks to Heathrow 20 days in advance of travel. Sadly our colleagues arrangements had to change a few hours after I booked as it was decided he had to be elsewhere before travelling to Taiwan. I telephoned to cancel at 14:27 the same day, only to be told they would only refund me 25% of what I had paid. I am very sorry I didn't choose the 'pay on the day' option because then they wouldn't have been able to charge me at all. What an awful service.

I paid for a taxi service online with Taxicode. I booked a car to meet my young daughter and I at Gatwick when we arrived from Australia. No one was there to meet us, no one answered the phone number provided, (which I rang for an hour). I then had to pay for another taxi. Taxicode would not refund my money. Do not use this company.

Booked a taxi through Taxicode, the taxi firm rang and cancelled a short time later. I called Taxicode to make sure I was going to get a refund 'Yes sir we'll have it sorted in 15 minutes'. I made alternative arrangements then an hour later I get notification it has been rebooked. I called again saying I had made alternative arrangements, I had already spoken to them and was told I would be getting a refund. They denied it and told me I would be not be getting a refund if I cancelled!! Rip-off merchants 'DO NOT USE'.

PLEASE AVOID Searched for local taxis on 25 August to go to Exeter airport early morning 30 August. All local taxi websites & phones seem to default to Taxicode. Ok - it was easy enough to book & pay up front through Taxicode (Exeter Airport Taxis selected). Surprised to be charged a card handling fee for using Paypal - that's a first - & also apparently agreed my details can be sold on for marketing. Got the confirmation email for Exeter Airport Taxis but as a driver hadn't been allocated 24 hrs later I called Exeter Airport Taxis to confirm the booking - & they said they'd cancelled that booking & I should contact Taxicode. I hadn't been told or had another taxi assigned. Phoned the Taxicode helpline number 0333 772 9737 - phone just rang over 5 minutes without being answered. Cancelled through Taxicode website. Now booked a local taxi company direct to take me. Just got an email saying I've been refunded only £5 of the £39 I paid Taxicode - so charged £34 for nothing ! Emailed taxicode.com (help@) for full refund & awaiting their response. Will update this post if I ever hear back (nothing 3 days later). Please be aware that 1 in 4 customers give Taxicode the lowest rating (1 star = unacceptable)...please watch out for the unethical small print you won't be alerted to - the huge cancellation charges (even if driver cancels apparently) - the £5 discount voucher that signs you up to £25 membership fee every 6 months - not being told by Taxicode the taxi firm has cancelled & you have no transport. Off to trading standards now. (update 29 August....) happily I had booked through Paypal & when I put the case to Paypal they secured a full refund promptly. Thank you Paypal. Without you I would not have had any refund. All my experience & comments above still stand. Please avoid.

I booked a taxi with them and unfortunately had to cancel. I tried to cancel through the website but the cancel button does nothing. I read the website help info (as there is no contact number) which suggested contacting the taxi provided and cancelling through them, which I did. Taxicode then rebooked by taxi with another provider. I contacted them by phoning the booking line (for ages upon ages) they said the taxi would be cancelled and I would be refunded the money. I was not. I put in three customer support requests before I got a single reply. For my first two requests they simply closed the ticket without replying. It was only when I threatened (and started the process) of getting the Trading Standards Ombudsman involved did they refund my money, over a month and a half later. As far as I can tell this is standard practise for them. They have no customer service to speak of and no addresses or phone numbers to get directly in contact with a human being. They are a bunch of pirates, scamming small amounts of money from people and hoping there will be no follow up.

Awful customer service. Disgrace of a company. Took £85 from me and I received nothing but hassle and never saw a penny of it again. Didn't even get the taxi or a refund! Even after explaining that I couldn't speak to anyone to alter my booking because I was on hold for over 2 hours in total! When I finally got through to someone it was apparently too late to get a full refund! Would not touch them. Thieves in my eyes. Toral waste of time and money.

Absolutely horrendous experience - I booked two journeys in advance through Taxicode. Everything looked good, the price was reasonable and it was nice to have everything sorted. However, the morning of the first journey, I get a call to say the job cannot be fulfilled and they are cancelling my booking. After a long conversation, I am then accused of cancelling the trip myself and told they will have to investigate before any refund can be issued. Further to this, another £25 has been taken from my account by then for no reason. I have disputed both but keep being fobbed off with the excuse "we will have to investigate". Have raised a claim through my bank and logged a complaint with trading standards but suspect I have lost my money. If you're reading this, please don't use Taxicode!!

I booked a minibus through Taxicode on the 21st of May to bring my family home from my mothers’ funeral. The journey was for 11 people on the 2nd of June travelling from Bishopthorpe York to Pocklington York, a total of 19 miles and I paid in full (£84.53) on the day of booking. Other than the confirmation a few minutes after booking I heard nothing and therefore presumed that everything was alright. While I was checking my emails about 3pm on the day before the funeral, I noticed one with the heading “Taxicode.com – Booking Cancelled”, I could not believe it, my whole family were depending on me. I opened the email and my worst nightmare was real, with just a few hours left of office hours I had to try to arrange alternative transport. After quite a number of panicked and desperate telephone calls, luckily, I did manage to arrange the transport for £120 but at this late stage there was no other option. I am fuming and disgusted that they think it is acceptable to operate a business in this manner and treat paying customers like this. They had this booking for eleven days before informing me that you could not fulfil their part, if it was for just 3 or 4 passengers then it wouldn’t be too bad, I could have arranged another taxi, but this was for 11 and it’s not as straight forward to book for that many. I should have been informed with at least 3 or 4 days’ notice instead of a little over 24 hours and to start the cancellation email with “oh no” is nothing less than patronising as is the offer of £2.00 off another booking. They need to rethink your customer charter, to say that they strive to deliver the highest standards to their customers and they are proud of their 98% of all bookings taken without incident is quite a stretch just from my experience and the reviews I’ve read.

Made the mistake of booking for an airport pick up for my upcoming vacation. Saw they had a rewards program and thought I may use again so why not... I'll tell you why not. NO WHERE on their site nor in there terms and conditions does it state that there is a 25 BPS fee for joining said club. Two days after booking a charge is made to your card. When you contact them they refuse to refund it and claim it's non-refundable. It also appears it renews every year. I contacted my credit card company and disputed the charge and also blocked them from a making any additional charges to my account. Now I still have to see if my ride actually shows up at the airport since if I cancel at this point it will cost me 85% of the booking fee. I refuse to cancel and pay their charges so they're going to have to provide the service or prove it was me who canceled. I already warned my card company they may attempt this next.
