Review about Gravel Master
As in the reviews below; which I wish with all my heart I had read before using this appalling company; I paid the £15 extra for a times delivery of two 850kg topsoil, gave accurate access sites for my allotment plot, which is frequently accessed by large flat bed trailers and has a parking/turning circle next to it and took the day off work to wait in the sun for my promised midday delivery; which did not arrive. On finally getting through to the bored customer services "agent" I was told the delivery would not now take place as it had not arrived at the Hub; I responded by explaining I had 2 emails confirming my order was being checked at the hub and then loaded ready for delivery that day. She said not only would my delivery would now arrive tomorrow between 7 and 7 (no time could be guaranteed) but that one bag would not arrive until "Thursday or Friday". She was completely un-phased my my explaining I had to work these days so the delivery could not take place without me being there to unlock the allotment gates(as specified on the dleivery note I completed). I again waited for my delivery the following day; to no avail. The third day, the delivery arrived; but the haulier said he was driving a truck "bigger than a refuse truck" so could not access the site; nor could he arrange a smaller truck. I asked for a refund; and was told Gravelmaster would claim £50 per pallet for returned goods and are covered by their terms and conditions; which I now realise are a complete get out of everything that could possibly happen farce. I have turned over to Barclaycard and sincerely hope a full refund materialises; however, I would beg anyone NOT to use this sharp practice company under any circumstances.
