purchased pair of hiking boots March >£80. First time back in Lakes after this, after about 4 walks, soles came loose both boots- clearly faulty- weather is dry. did not have receipt on me, why would i for boots purchased 5 months earlier, but did have the credit card with which i purchased them, and was happy for store to look up those details. However asst manager ambleside store - he refused to give me his name, but i took a photo of him- seemed to enjoy being unhelpful and told me that unless I could prove I had purchased them from F&T the faulty boots were my problem. I could have proved it with credit card, but he refused to look into. said his manager was on holiday so no-one to complain to. I had just driven over 2 passes to get to shop, you can imagine my frustration. surely if boots are so faulty there should be something that could be done? not point telling me to post them, I wanted to use them on my holiday! poor show F&T your customer service has really deteriorated
